In January 2024, the China road logistics price index experienced a marginal decline of 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year, as revealed by industry data.
According to a collaborative survey by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin’an Logistics Group, the index stood at 103.9 in the preceding month.
Specifically, the full-truckload logistics metric, which primarily gauges bulk commodity and regional transportation, saw a 0.35 percent uptick compared to the corresponding period last year, reaching 104.
The survey noted that China’s road transportation sector remained relatively active in January, buoyed by favorable conditions in production and consumption, along with the stimulating impact of holidays.
However, adverse weather conditions, including rain and snow, contributed to a slight dip in the index last month, according to the survey’s findings.
